Taste the oysters!

The Wadden Sea Centre offers you an experience of a lifetime. We will guide you all the way out to the great mussel banks of the danish Wadden Sea. Far away from the mainland you almost feel like you reached the end of the world. Out there it is the nature and the tidal water that determine the rules. The birds, the wind and the unique landscape creates a magnificent atmosphere.

However, the tour can be quite demanding. The tour is all in all about 6 km cross the sea bottom and through water. So we recommend that you are in a generel good physical condition.

When you sign up for an oyster safari we will ask for your shoe size if you need to rent waders. (Waders are mandatory for the tour). We also need your phone number so we can reach you if the tour is cancelled due to high water levels.

Please bring an old backpack or similar for carying the oysters. Plastic bags are not recommended as the sharp oyster shells will cut them open.

Gloves are recommended when handling the oysters. Remember warm and pratical clothes.

De-register: no later than 10 days before the tour date. Otherwise there will be a charge of 100 Dkr per person.

Waders: bring your own waders or rent a pair at the centre, 50 Dkr per pair.

Price: 200 Dkr per Person + Waders 50 Dkr
