„To travel is to live" citation from H.C. Andersen

And travel is just what the life of the migrating birds is all about. 12 million migrating birds visit the Wadden Sea every year to eat and restore their energy reserves. The birds need the energy in order to complete the journey to either the northern breeding sites or the southern wintering grounds.
In our nature exhibition you can see more about the amazing life of the migrationg birds. You can also learn more about all the bottom-dweeling animals that constitutes one of the largest "restaurants" of the world, The Wadden Sea.
