Take a look at our exhibitions

See what is inside the Wadden Sea Centre. Also, take a look at movie-clips from the exhibitions, the nature and our activities.

The Nature exhibition tells about one of the worlds largest food chambers - The Wadden Sea

"Travelling is life". And they both travel and live for long time, the migratory birds that twice a year visit the Wadden Sea to eat and obtain energy.

Seals are quite common in the Wadden Sea. We visit the seals on trips in the late summer and autumn. See under "Whats up?" when our next public seal tour takes place.

In the cultural exhibition, the stork tells it's story from the green marshland areas

Learn about the ox transports in the middle ages, the smell and importance of hay, and take a look at the present work-schedule for the marshland farmers.

The great drownings

In 1362 and 1634, the Wadden Sea coast was hit by the worst storm surge disasters ever.

But how close to the disaster were we during the hurricane in 1999?

Visit our multimedia-show, and hear the story of storm surges on the Wadden Sea coast in the past, the present and the future.

Tidal basin

In the yard, you find, beside pieces of art, our high and low water basin. In here, the time from high to low water is only a few minutes. How long does it take in the real Wadden Sea?
