Starling box: Stays on our area and becomes part of our Wadden Sea oasis.
You buy a building kit in our shop and build two birdhouses together with one of our nature guides, who has all the tools ready. Finally, you can burn your names into the birdhouse, so you can check at each visit to the Wadden Sea Centre whether a bird has already moved in.
A kit consists of two DIY bird boxes and costs a total of 250 DKK. Participation in the activity is free of charge. To take part in the activity, you must have a valid admission ticket to our exhibition.
This event is part of the VaBene project , an EU-funded initiative in the Wadden Sea region that connects tourism and nature conservation. The aim is to engage visitors in nature and give back to the environment – for example through activities like this one where you actively help the birds. #vabene
