From Mandø, we walk about 2 km along the dyke and across the seabed to the seal bank, where ‘Jørgens Lo’ – a watercourse about 300 metres wide – separates us from the sandbank where the seals lie. The seal bank is one of the largest breeding grounds in the Wadden Sea National Park. Around 200 seals usually rest here. The nature guide brings binoculars so that we can get very close to the seals without disturbing their natural behaviour. The most curious seals may come very close, in the water right in front of us...
All participants must be able to walk at least 5 km without any problems.
