The tour consists of a guided tour of our exhibition, time in our exhibition and then our ‘little oyster tour’. You will be picked up by bus in Ribe and driven back to Ribe after the tour.
For the oyster tour, the nature guide chooses the destination based on the day's water level, and after the introduction you will be taken by bus to the tour's starting point. From here we walk across the dry seabed to an area with oysters, where there will be plenty of opportunities to see, taste and collect oysters. Along the way, we'll look at birds and benthic animals and enjoy the distinctive landscape that characterises the Wadden Sea National Park - and perhaps the nature guide will tell us a thing or two about what turns up.
The tour can be done in high-heeled rubber boots, as well as rain trousers to take the worst of the water and mud splashes.
