Welcome to The Wadden Sea Centre

The danish Wadden Sea was given the status as Nationalpark in Denmark, 2010. The nationalpark is the largest in Denmark and it is visited twice every year by nearly 12 million migrating birds. Furthermore, the nationalpark has the largest population of harbour seals in Denmark.

The best way to understand the importance of the unique nature of the Wadden Sea is to have a hands-on experience with the tidal area.

Watch the constant motion of the tidal water, feel the wind, see the enormous swarms of migrating birds, the huge amounts of bottom-dwelling animals and of course the never-ending horizon.

The four professional nature interpreters of The Wadden Sea Centre makes arrangements for all kind of groups. The tours are formed after your requires and always with regards of the nature in mind.

The Wadden Sea Centre welcomes you in our exhibition and in The Wadden Sea.
