In the exhibition, you will meet the Wadden Seas multitude of life, from the smallest algae to the largest predator, the seal. And of course, both children and adults can explore the beautiful Nordic exhibition, which is 1,000 m2 indoors, as well as the tundra garden and play area outside.
With the migratory birds as a guide to the landscape of the Wadden Sea, you are led through countless life cycles and food chains, a sea of exciting relationships, fascinating facts and a large number of different organisms. The birds combines it all, with their enormous numbers along the East Atlantic migration route, which connects the birds' winter quarters to the south, with the breeding areas in the Arctic tundra. The adaptation of the birds to the migration is both impressive and incredible. Many of the migratory birds migrate thousands of kilometers just to raise a few chicks.

The Wadden Sea is crucial for the many migratory birds, in order to survive their journey. Many of the birds double their body weight while in the Wadden Sea.
During the migration season in spring and autumn, you can experience the diversity of migratory birds and huge swarms in the Wadden Sea. Up to 15 million migratory birds travel through the Wadden Sea. Some are short-distance migrators , others medium- and still others long-distance migrators.
