We start the tour at the Wadden Sea Centre, after which we walk 700 meters down to Ebbevejen. Ebbevejen is the old road to Mandø and is today only used by the tractor bus. Down by the mudflats, the nature guide will tell you about the storm surge column we encounter, as well as the dikes and the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The animals of the Wadden Sea are adapted to a life of great contrasts. They must be able to live with large fluctuations in water cover, be careful not to be eaten by predators, make sure they get enough to eat, etc. This requires good adaptations, and the nature guide will explain this along the way.
The nature guide brings traps and nets so we can catch the animals and look at them.
This tour takes place in Danish and English.
