From the Mandø dike we will walk across the dry seabed to an area with plenty of oysters. Here there is time to taste and pick oysters to bring home. During the walk we will also take a look at the amazing wildlife and unique landscape, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The tour is generally undertaken in waders, as we will be wading through a short stretch of water. You should be prepared for the possibility of encountering sections with a lot of mud, and the tour therefore requires a reasonable level of fitness. Waders are provided by the Wadden Sea Centre and are included in the price. Ordinary trousers and, if required, thermal underwear are suitable to wear under the waders.
